Who oversees the activities of the US Intelligence Community (IC)?

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) is responsible for overseeing the activities of the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC). Established in 2004 as part of the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act, the ODNI was created to enhance information sharing and coordination among the various intelligence agencies. This office acts as the principal advisor to the President on intelligence matters and ensures that the IC operates in a unified manner that aligns with national priorities and policies.

The Director of National Intelligence has the authority to integrate and manage the resources and operations of the different intelligence agencies, ensuring they work collaboratively towards common objectives.
